Because talent? You want to add a guy like boozer because hes talented? I’m sorry i just don’t see that as a valid reason. -- fffindeed

what was that post about?

I'm going to take my talents to... your mom... Literally every single team that's ever won a championship has done it without LeBron James.

he was calling the Lakers "fakers" saying we stole Gasol and etc.

it got deleted off GSOM soon after I posted that comment.

Hahaha...

That’s a pretty hard epic fail. Doesn’t have it in him to refute/deny your claim.

Hey, hey there.

No one is telling you to stay away from SSR. Isn’t that the point of SB Nation? To browse blogs and interact with other fans?

Nope, I hate warrior fans like I hate hell and all Montagues

You don't like the former Warriors coach and Stanford coach?

LOL, I'm relatively sure that's NOT how his name is spelled.

He is the coach of my Cal Golden Bears, after all.

I don't hate the team,

but you got to say some ( not all) of those Oakland fans get pretty rude. If I wasn’t a Lakers fan, I would probably root for the Rockets.

Warriors definitely were my second favorite

but not the past two seasons. I liked the J.Rich / Baron Davis days a lot more. Corey Maggette and Monta just aren’t my kind of players.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

by Justin N. on Jul 19, 2010 8:30 PM PDT reply actions

lol if you like watching teams lose and not play anything close to winning basketball?

I don’t really have a real second favorite basketball team. Usually each year I pick a few teams that I like the chemistry of, and want them to go ahead in their conference (always east coast teams), for instance I’ve like the raptors back when they had kapono, Magic when the year we beat them (but they beat boston and cavs), atlanta (when they almost upset the celts)

It seems I like pretty much whatever team in the east coast that is good that doesnt have green or lebron james associated with it

In Kobe we trust!

Nah. I'd prefer the Thunder or the Magic first

I guess you can say that I support them after the Lakers

Since I’m from the Bay Area, I used to like watching RunTMC.

The fans don’t bother me. In fact, I think they’re pretty hardcore to support such a bad team so strongly, year after year. Gotta give them props for that. I went to one Warrior game. I couldn’t get into it, but the rest of the crowd was really into it.

I wish all of the same fans would support my A’s and fill up the Colosseum. But the one’s who do go to A’s games are hardcore. Oakland fans are hardcore in general. Not bandwagoners.

But I haven’t paid much attention to the Warriors since the Webber and Sprewell problems. I’ve always believed I’d care about them more if they changed their name to Oakland Warriors.

Magic made me a Laker fan.

Im originally from the Bay Area

I wanted them to beat the Mavs back in the 07 playoffs or whenever that was. But recently I’ve found a lot of bad seed warrior fans. Fans who hate the Lakers more than Celtic fans.

I guess the part that angers me the most is that a lot of them root for the Celtics in the rivlary between the Lakers rather than another California team.

Gasol

is a steal he woulda looked better in a warrior uniform

by CoreyMaggette on Jul 20, 2010 12:48 PM PDT reply actions

Yep

too bad no other team made a decent enough play for him for the months he was on the market before the Lakers got a deal agreed. Hindsight always looks so 20/10, but really a lot of teams could’ve had Pau if they gave up the picks the Lakers did. They just didn’t think it was worth it apparently.

Also, it wasn't a bad deal for Memphis... I quote...
In the trade the Grizzlies received cap space relief (which they used to acquire Zach Randolph), Marc Gasol, Darrell Arthur (2008 Lakers Pick), Greivis Vasquez (2010 Lakers pick) and Javaris Crittenton who – before getting into a one up battle on who’s gun is bigger with Gilbert Arenas – returned the Grizzlies #1 pick that Memphis owed Washington in the Juan Carlos Navarro trade. Having that draft pick back enabled the Grizzlies to trade for Ronnie Brewer. That’s not a bad haul for a single player…

If the Grizzlies resign Ronnie Brewer and Rudy Gay – and Michael Heisley has made it clear since the draft on the sports radio circuit that this is exactly what he intends to do – then the Grizzlies would have recouped a quite attractive return for the Spanish Power Forward. It’s just taken a long time to see it come to pass.

People think that trading Pau Gasol made the Grizzlies bad. It didn’t. The Grizzlies were bad prior to trading Pau Gasol. However, trading Pau allowed the Grizzlies to transform back into a competitive team and possibly into a winning team this coming season. The Grizzlies may have been able to do this with less pain by keeping some of the veterans, getting luckier in the lottery and definitely by drafting better when they had their picks but the point is that the team has done what Heisley said he wanted them to do.

Yep

I just always feel that trying to explain to people why it wasn’t a bad deal is exhausting.
