Update on Farmar

Adrian W. from Yahoo Sports has the following update:

Pacers show interest in Farmar

The Indiana Pacers are targeting former Lakers point guard Jordan Farmar for a one-year contract. The Portland Trail Blazers and Knicks have shown interest, too.

I highly doubt that Farmar and his agent would agree to a 1-year contract as that does not put faith much faith in him as a starting PG on Bird's team. This also does not rule out his return to the Lakers.

Farmar will not sign with the Blazers as Andre Miller is tabbed as the starter (unless you are Jerry Buss, you will not relegate a player making $7M to the bench).

The Knicks do not have an entrenched starter though Toney Douglas would eventually vie for that role. Farmar is a good fit in D'Antoni's system and would threaten his return to the Lakers.

If Miami does not land Felton, I would not be shocked to see them show interest in Jordan as well.
