LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 21: Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant laughs with the championship trophy while riding in the victory parade for the the NBA basketball champion team on June 21, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. The Lakers beat the Boston Celtics 87-79 in 7 games for the franchise's 16 NBA title. (Photo by Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)
Lost in the debates about Brian Shaw and Byron Scott, the discussion of whether Phil's coming back, the worrying about the Lakers' point guard situation, and the Lakers' ownership issues with profits has been one teensey-weensey little fact: THE LAKERS ARE YOUR BACK-TO-BACK, DEFENDING CHAMPIONS!!!! Wooooo, yeah, bitches! So, in the middle of all this offseason discussion, I thought I'd just take a moment to put together a gathering of audio/visual media solely for the sake of reveling in the glory of the Larry O'Brien Trophy.
STOP: Before you go any further, make sure you have this track playing: Lakers' Championship Anthem 2010 (DJ Felli Fel ft. Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and others) . It's pretty sweet. It's available for free, legal download here. Got it? Alright, let's go (after the Jump, of course =]] )
Okay, let's start off with taking a look back at the Best of Doc Funk throughout the Finals:
This speaks for itself.
I think it's a bit late for that, KG.
Rasheed, practising for his post-retirement job.
Evidently so he can buy some ribs.
Ray Allen's stolen my plans for the weekend.
Aren't we all, Phil, aren't we all.
Teehehe.
And that is exactly why he is going to opt out.
Kobe's leadership in action.
I feel your pain, Pau.
That you are, Paul, that you are.
Damnit, Luke, indeed.
Ron Artest, just playin' some everyday defense.
Because if not...
And now time for some GIF fun:
And the remix:
All these images are from Doc Funk, a maestro of the art of captioning. There's plenty more where that came from, and if you haven't already, you are obligated by the rules of SSR to go and visit his site, to see the rest for yourself.
SSR has already done a post on images from the parade, so this concludes the images section of this recap. But, before we move on, I have a sneaking suspicion that the first championship track in this article has finished by the time you're reading this, so to keep the audio segment going, you're legally obligated to listen to this: Ron Artest - Champions. It's the new Ron Artest joint, that he recorded last June - the man is a psychic. Get on iTunes and download it, stat.

VICTORY CELEBRATION
TROPHY PRESENTATION
And then there's his compilation of the Top 10 Lakers moments on the Playoffs (h/t shaqfor3):
Finished with the Artest track, yet? Well, here's him performing it live(once again h/t shaqfor3)
And who could forget his famous postgame interview? 'I got Wheaties!'? Artest should get a sponsorship from them, asap.
And then here's Ronny 'celebrating' at the Parade (once again, h/t shaqfor3):
Some random highlights (h/t to Moradi 7):
POST-CHAMPIONSHIP:
The Lakers (well, most of them) were on Jimmy Kimmel live the night after winning the trophy, and hilarity ensued.
NOTE: Laker fans, DO NOT PANIC. Pau Gasol was NOT deported, as Kimmel intially reported, but instead he was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
And then, just recently, Kobe featured on Lopez Tonight's hundredth episode:
Funny stuff, yes? It's striking how relaxed and open Kobe is now that he won the Championship. He's displaying a childlike innocence and joy, that I've never seen in him before, even after winning it all in '09 he didn't seem exactly like this.
Anyways, now that I've reminded y'all about the Lakers winning the Championship, I've only got one thing left to say. I'll let Doc Funk illustrate it:
