2 PICKS, 1 DRAFT, AND NO POINT GUARD....WTF!!!!!?

Stay connected for news and updates

Congrats again Lakers! You brought the championship back to the left coast for the 2nd year in a row! now, we come to the all important time of the year.....the draft! I (along with all SS&R fans ) waited on baited breath for the Lakers to pick in the 2nd rd. Then, we up and grab not 1, but 2 PF's! WTF!!!!!?

Don't get me wrong. With this site and a couple others that I have checked out, it seems the Lakeshow has gotten 2 proven big men from the college squads who can not only fill the bucket, they can also play that mythical thing known as DEFENSE. All good mind you. HOWEVER.......If there has been 1 achilles heel of the Lakers the last 3 seasons, championships be damned, that I and alot of folks have noticed time and again. The Lakeshow needs to invest HEAVILY in a true PG.

Hey, before you start lighting torches, and looking for my address to deliver the guilletine to, note this 1 thing. Guys like Deron Williams, Steve Nash, Tony Parker, and Rajon Rondo, have been a thorn in the side of the Lakeshow for quite a while now.   I love "Fish" as much as the next guy. But, he won't be playing forever. In fact, with the way he teared up during the Finals, I think even he knows that the time to hang it up is maybe only a year away. And with the likes of Shannon Brown looking to jump ship. This gives me cause for concern.

It's WAY too apparent that Farmar, as much as he tries, just IS NOT starting materiel. And we won't even begin talking about Vujacic. Just not a fair fight. As a comedien once said, "kinda like callin double dribble on a mentally challenged kid in a game of B-Ball". Which leads me back to the crux of this post. Did the Lakeshow make a mistake in not tryin to grab a PG in this year's draft? we seem to have all the Big bodies we can handle on the squad. But no one to handle the rock on a regular outside Kobe and "Fish". Not good.

So...give me your thoughts.
