In the last three years I can't recall seeing the Lakers play with any sort of... urgency. Sure we could look back to the Houston series, or maybe games 6 versus Denver/Orlando. Okay, well maybe not. I can't say those games were played with urgency either.
Something the Celtics have proven is that the team that plays with fire, urgency, and hustle, is going to win the game. The 50-50 plays, the rebounds, steals, and defense, are all generated with hustle and activity. These things lead to second chance points, fast breaks, and stops. All things we've been missing since game 3. We can feel robbed about game 2, but the truth is after game 3 we haven't played with any sort of "urgency".
Well, here we are, down 3-2, in our house. I think we'll see some playoff basketball tonight from the Lakers that will leave the recent flood of immigrants from the CelticsBlog stunned and concerned. This series is not over. I don't care if the Celtics "play better on the road", they will not play like they did in Boston. They will be outplayed. They will lose.
Now, I fully expect a bunch of long-winded rebuttals to this piece. So what. Let's chat after tonight, because only then will we really know.
