LETS GO LAKERS NATION.... TODAY IS THE BIGGEST LAKER GAME OF YOUR ENTIRE LIVES
Get your hard hats on, say your prayers, sacrifice your cattle on a hallow alter…. DO WHAT YOU MUST.
TODAY, LAKER NATION, WE MUST LET OUR TEAM KNOW WE BELIEVE. THIS IS THE GAME WE’VE ALL WAITED ON.
AT WORK? CAN’T CONCENTRATE? Then DON’T! Send out good thoughts for your Laker team, send an encouraging email to Phil Jackson, order roses to be sent to Jeanie Buss, buy a pack of skittles in honor of Lamar, punch a Piston fan for Ron Ron… PAY OUR LAKERS SOME RESPECT, THEY NEED TO KNOW WE BELIEVE.
Most of all, DON’T MISS A SECOND OF THIS MONUMENTAL GAME SIX. ENJOY IT LAKER FANS! ENJOY THE F*** OUT OF IT!
I cannot wait!

Wall Street Journal: Who Complains About Fouls More, the Boston Celtics or the LA Lakers?
"This is not a game for boys. This is a game for men." - Phil Jackson
in summary
The Whining Index
Based on observing players’ reactions after they were whistled for fouls in the first five NBA Finals games, here’s how often each team complained about or disputed a call.
LAKERS % of COMPLAINTS CELTICS % of COMPLAINTS
Team Rate – 36% Team Rate – 48%
Kobe Bryant – 50% Ray Allen – 73%
Pau Gasol – 50% Kendrick Perkins – 68%
Derek Fisher – 38% Rasheed Wallace – 65%
Lamar Odom – 27% Rajon Rondo – 50%
Ron Artest – 23% Paul Pierce – 36%
Andrew Bynum – 15% Kevin Garnett – 32%

Kobe..50%?
A little low? He seems to have a problem with every call. But then again, Perkins complains about 100% of them haha.
Good to have the data
The guy even included “stares” and “puzzled looks”, so Kobe’s % includes those, as well as everyone elses, so even on a relative basis, this is reliable

Kobe
Alone cant win this for yall. So this thread was dead on about needing production from those players. Our length bothers Gasol a whole lot, but when you have a player like Odom who can play PG, it throws KG off. That being said, I don’t know why Odom has played so poorly.
Someone said had the flu for two weeks
I say that’s bullshiz, but whatever.

Yeah, don't really buy that either
He has his moments and all along I’ve said if he actually had a work ethic and determination he would be the 2nd best player on the court most nights. Incredible skill set.
You win as a team
People talk about this as if only Celtics and Celtics fans know this.
But to win as a team, not only do you have to play as a team, individual players still have to step up.

I think when fouls don't go his way
Questionable charge on Lamar in game 5, but whatever. Anyway, I think he gets frustrated and starts to play off his game.
He was better last game though, game 4 he was horrendous.

Personally, I think
That yall need one more scorer. What are the chances of signing a player like Joe Johnson? Let’s say dump Odom and pickup Johnson?
Right now, the Celtics are in their last few years so we will begin to need to look for younger players but I think the Big 3 has 2 more seasons. But just from a basketball standpoint, I think with another slasher/scorer to go along with Kobe and Gasol yall would be dominant.
Thoughts?
Your trade scenario is bad.
We don’t need anyone, this is our third NBA finals season in a row, we just need to execute and play defense.
I don't want Joe Johnson anywhere
near this team. He uses up way too many possessions to not score as much or facilitate as much as Kobe. If we made him a jump shooter like he was in Phx sure, but I don’t think he’s willing to take that role anymore.
