So, the eastern conference champs are the Boston Celtics. The same Celtics for the most part that tore apart the Lakers in Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals with a score of 131-92. This is a year that nearly every Laker fan will see that this is an opportunity for revenge.
Not to shove the Suns aside so quickly, but I can't help but be excited to beat the teams that destroyed our hopes for a title for 3 consecutive years. This is our year, we can knock out the team that caused us anger back in the 2006-2007 season, and we can get back at a lifelong rival in the Celtics. I don't know about you all, but the 131-92 beatdown is still fresh in my memory, and it is something every single true Laker fan will probably never forget. Unlike our 2008 team, these Lakers have every player playing, and healthy for the most part. The only task i see that will be extremely difficult is who guards Rondo. I believe our starters are better than theirs, I believe our bench will come back to life. There may not be another opportunity like this ever again! Regardless of how good the Celtics are during these playoffs, I believe the Lakers will be fired up and win it all.
LET'S GO LAKERS!!!
