What can I say, I’m not the one to blame Kobe, I’m the one that wishes we can clone Kobe for teammates because they lack, they lack, they lack, and you fill in the blanks. Kobe is going to give it his all, good or bad, you will have something to say about Kobe’s game after the night is over but the most I noticed with his teammates is the disappearing act they continuously have. 8 pts here, 18 pts there, 15 pts there again and 4-11 shooting night, who the hell can count on production like that?
In general not just based off last night lost but for the season and the playoffs, I wish Kobe had teammates like him the fire for every game, never wanting to lose, never back down mentality and consistency. I like when they show up, I just hate their consistency and you know who else probably hates it the most Kobe Bryant.
Lakers players settle too much, instead of taking and making the defense adjust to them they take what the defense gives them. However I think it’s because of the triangle offense they run which is predicated on post play, player movement and spacing instead of simple attack the basket, get to the free throw line, typical Lebron James Cavs offense. Put it like this, I don’t like the triangle offense, I know if Lakers ran it properly, it probably would look better and unstoppable however I have seen teams take the Lakers out of getting that ball into the post now the Lakers are all perimeter, trying to get the ball down low with the 24 second clock ticking away, Lakers offense is too slow for me, their post players are indecisive to me, that’s why you see Kobe often become the post player because he’s gonna give you something, a pass or shot but he isn’t going to play with the clock.
Gasol is supposed to be the best all around post player in the NBA but he lacks that urge to get dirty with his post up game, that urged to back his man down soo much he ends up out of balance, Gasol instead lightly backs his player down, doesn’t get nowhere near the rim mind you then settles for hook shots or fade aways. It’s part of his game, he does it all the time, it’s effective sometimes based on matchups but I always want more from Gasol on defense with his long arms and on offense with his long arms.
This is the lineup I like on the floor all the time, not for half the game, for the whole game, this line up is always productive offensively and defensively, they keep the floor spread. Don’t look for stats, I have none to give and I ain’t a stat person, rely on eyes only.
Kobe, Farmer, Brown, Lamar and Gasol
Go ahead tell me why you love Kobe’s teammates but I don’t, I know they are in the western conference finals but just imagine teammates with fire and desire, Lakers would have been in the finals already.
