Hey Lakers fans,

I'm posting in hostile territory here.  I am a Warriors fan from the bay area.  Unfortunately there is a lot of Kobe hating outside of LA and it makes it hard to really know how good Kobe is.  People over at Goldenstateofmind.com have been posting blogs of the top 10 players in the NBA that leave Kobe off the list.  I personally think that this is ridiculous since only a couple years ago Kobe and Lebron were the unanimus top choices for MVP.  I haven't seen much of Kobe this year, but I can't imagine that his play has gone downhill too terribly much. 

I'm looking for the opinions of Lakers fans.  Try not to let your homerism [we all have it :)  ] get in the way of a clearly articulated opinion of Kobe!!!  Why is Kobe good?  Is he a top ten player in the league?  Is he the best player on the Lakers, or is Pau better?  Why? 

Over on the Warriors site people say that Kobe shoots for an average efficiency and Pau shoots the ball much better.  Is Pau better?  If you were starting an NBA franchise for one year and you could choose Pau or Kobe to have on your team, which would you want and why?
