Yahoo Sports' Ball Don't Lie blogger Kelly Dwyer presents a refreshing and valid view point into the Lakers' current play. I particularly agree with what is said of how our offense is the issue, which runs contrast to the majority of people blaming our defense, but is statistically proven to be the case. not a fan of Dwyer in the past

I remember going nuts when he omitted Kobe from the top dunkers of the decade list.
but I read his article and agree with it. Fisher always pulls up for midrange jumpers early in the clock and contributes to offensive droughts since he usually misses most of those looks. He shouldnt be taking 10+ shot attempts a game. And yes Kobe takes too many shot attempts, but at the same time I don’t really blame him because other players such as Pau have not been getting the job done offensively and Artest and Odom can be on or off any given night. They either give us solid production or shoot 1-9. Because of this sometimes, they force Kobe into the role of a bailout shooter, someone who tries in a makeshift attempt to make a shot or produce some kind of offense.

I know I have been hard on Pau the last few weeks, but its with good reason. He has not been playing that consistent basketball we saw last season and the season before. If he gets back into a groove, Kobe will not have to take so many shots, the offense runs more smoothly, and the team plays much better.

"Just by the aura of D.J. Mbenga being there, the shot missed."
