Phil Jackson on Pau Gasol: "He's been weak and sickly"
Pau Gasol: "That's funny."
Phil's been making an abnormal number of excuses for his players this season. What I can't figure is whether this is another case of making an excuse, or a subtle dig at Pau. Pau's reaction doesn't aid in clarifying to either train of thought.

At this point we just hope and pray that this team can wake up enough sometime before the playoffs
until then, got regular season tickets? Ask for a refund. Maybe enough of that will pull the collective Laker organization’s head out of its ass.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
hes not "sickly"
hes just been playing soft last couple of weeks
what he needs to is focus on is taking care of the ball, grabbing rebounds, and asserting himself in paint….hes 7 feet tall for crying out loud
cmon Pau, i hate to quote Marc Jackson but, “your better than that!!”

There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be commited against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the LimeLight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position. Find a game plan and execute it. REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET OUT OF THE GAME WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT.
and Pau can't handle the truth, he hasn't been that dominate 2nd option that the Lakers
need him to be and rely on him late along side Kobe and so far that has not been the case

Pau needs to get a rhythm going and start playing well. He hasn’t for the majority of the season which is why the Lakers havent been as efficient on offense nor have they looked as dominant as they did last season. The Lakers need him and he still has yet to respond/show up.

to me it seemed quite irritated but a smart ass hence only giving a two word response without stooping to being too rude to “the greatest coach in the league” that’s very Pau-like
I meant that
From just reading that transcript, you can’t tell if Pau is annoyed Phil is making excuses for him (which is a thing thing for Pau to be), or annoyed at Phil taking a subtle dig (which Pau deserves to be getting).
