Kobe the Third Best Guy?!?

…behind Kevin Durant? and LBJ?

The media is getting ridiculous, looking for any reasons to try and make Kobe look bad.

Kobe: "If you’re afraid to fail, then you’re probably going to fail," he says, laughing. "You know what I mean? Fuck it."

That's what i hate about the media

I even remember reading one article about how game winners don’t determine a player’s value, and how it’s all about stats and numbers. Such bull.

"I don't want to be the next Michael Jordan, I only want to be Kobe Bryant" - Kobe Bryant

KD will be greater than KB one day....

but KB will be 38, and KD will be wearing a Laker jersey!

"I work my ass off every day in practice. How many other guys can say the same thing? Not many. I'm fighting against becoming soft. That's the worse thing you can say to a basketball player." - Dennis Rodman

For the sake of not giving too much attention to Taibbi...

That article was clearly written through Celtic green colored glasses. Shame on Trey Kirby for perpetuating it. As it is I’ve been growing tired of Yahoo writers and that just iced the cake!
The guy who wrote it is a tabloid style, hack sports writer who grew up in Boston.
Not worth our time…seriously…not kidding…no more comments about it.

It's not too much of a stretch to call Durant a better offensive player at this point

Yes, stats are skewed because Kobe has been 1) hurt (and currently is) 2) has a difficult shot selection, but Durant is utterly ridiculous. Over ten free throw attempts a game, nearly a 90% shooter at the line, a 60 TS% — he’s a dominant scorer.

Better overall player? That’s where the line gets drawn.

To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.
