Lakers-Kings Open Thread

Los Angeles Lakers at Sacramento Kings, Mar 16, 2010 7:00 PM PDT

Game number 68. Soixante huit. For the second straight night, the Lakers have a superb rookie point guard to deal with. According to me, six is the over/under on Tyreke Evans's shot attempts at the rim.

Get an early start on your St. Patrick's Day drinking upon any mention of:

  • The Rookie of the Year race,
  • How the Kings are a young team,
  • The Carl Landry trade,
  • Andres Nocioni and either hustle or energy in the same sentence, or
  • Cowbells.

Drink twice whenever a Kings fan shows up in the postgame thread to complain about the refs.

CarMax text poll

Whose performance is most important to the Lakers’ title run?

A. Ron Artest
B. Jordan Farmar
C. Lamar Odom

How did they come up with those choices?

all the above

There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be commited against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the LimeLight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position. Find a game plan and execute it. REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET OUT OF THE GAME WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT.

umm long and painful

The only rule is that you have to be on a wall at the end of an interval. You start on the 3 minute interval and swim as far as you can ( so you don’t look like a jerk) making sure you are on a wall ready to go after 3 minutes have passed. interval decreases by 5 seconds each time.

ie: First swim: on the three minutes: swim 250 yds.
Second: on the 2:55: swim 250 yds.
Go all the way down to a 10 second interval

Shannon has done a few good things today but not enough

There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be commited against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the LimeLight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position. Brown needs to take the Ariza lesson

You are allowed to do two things: 1) shoot threes when you’re open 2) go to the rim.
