I'm nervous about Bynum

hopefully he can miss a couple of games and come back after the break at 100%. Last thing we need is a serious injury.

Kobe, on the other hand, I’m just not worried about. I’m glad he’s finally taking the rest.

I think that is pretty much everyone's sentiment.

I just want Bynum to be okay.

Awe the long season

just long enough to make us worry (esp with Bynum’s injury history), but my hope is that this team (like in 2001) is more built for the playoffs. We’ll see.

Woohoo, I get to look forward to another 7-6 season ("at best") in 2010! There's nothing like going to Idaho for a bowl game.

Ugh, Kaman takes Roy's spot in the ASG over Boozer

http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/news/story?id=4897767

Complete bogus. This is a repeat of the Mo Williams situation — bitch enough to the league that you “deserve” a spot and are being treated unfairly, and Stern will give you the spot over a much more deserving player.

To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.

i think Kaman somewhat deserves it

can you name another player who deserves more than him? Maybe Russle Westbook but thats all i can think of.

Boozer

It’s not even remotely close between the two:

FG%: Boozer (54.5%), Kaman (49.7%)
TS%: Boozer (59.0%), Kaman (53.4%)
Rebound rate: Boozer (18.5), Kaman (14.5)
Assist rate: Boozer (14.5), Kaman (7.9)
P/40 min: Boozer (22.0), Kaman (22.1)
Usage rate: Boozer (23.1), Kaman (24.8)

So basically, the only thing Kaman does as well as Boozer is score, except Boozer does so way, way more efficiently (hence the higher TS%) with roughly the same number of possessions (hence the similar usage rate). Besides that, Boozer is a far superior rebounder and passer (much higher assist and rebound rates).

Hell, with Kaman’s current numbers, I’d put Love, Landry, or even Bynum ahead of him; he’s really fallen off recently.

Yeah I thought Boozer deserved to be in the game

as much as I hate him, he’s having a solid season

by the way, speaking of Mo Williams

it’s pretty remarkable when you look at the Cavs roster and realize that no one is even close to All-Star level except Lebron. Yet that team is owning the league right now. Testament to how good Lebron has been this year. I’d say right now he’s MVP and it’s not even close.

Thoughts on the rumored Stoudemire-Iguodala swap?

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/12957/suns-take-up-close-look-at-iguodala

Stein has the general parameters there.

Honestly though, if it’s something along the lines of Stoudemire/Richardson for Iguodala/Dalembert, I don’t see how Phoenix turns that down. Dalembert fits into Phoenix’s system, shores up their interior defense, and would work really well with Nash. Iguodala gives them a literally do-it-all wing — he defends superbly and would be excellent in the pace of Phoenix’s offense. I’d say the loss of Stoudemire’s scoring would be more than off-set by the improved defense on the wings and in the interior.

I would do that trade if I were the Suns. Stoudemire is leaving; no doubt about it. Dalembert would

become more than adequate at center with Nash feeding him dimes. AI can do it all. Quite frankly, I think the Suns get better with this trade.

I think the 76ers want Barbosa instead of Richardson which plausible because Richardson is overpayed and probably can’t play alongside Allen Iverson or Lou Williams.

In light of the team's final trip up north for the season. I thought we go down memory lane to look back at a classic game against the Warriors in Oakland. The day was April 20, 1999, yes the day of Columbine Massacre. Also, has anyone noticed that we have had a lot of classic games against the Warriors even though we have always assembled better teams than they did.?

Heres a new mix I made.

Kobe hasnt always been known as a clutch player. In game 5 of the 1997 Eastern Conference Semifinals, he missed a shot to win the game in the 4th quarter and 2 three-pointers to tie the game in the last minute of overtime, all of the shots being airballs. With that the Utah Jazz ended the playoffs for the Lakers in the 2nd round. Shaquille O'Neal commented years later that "Kobe was the only guy who had the guts at the time to take shots like that."

Ever since that horrible experience in his rookie year, Kobe has worked harder and has learned how to make those shots with the game on the line. This vid features some lines from Carmelo Anthony's Become Legendary commercial as well as some of Kobe's recent gamewinners.

Enjoy!
Kobe Game Winner vs Raptors - Whoa, I watched this and then I read the comments on Youtube claiming Kobe travelled, which I had not heard of. Then, after watching a few times, I have to say, I agree, Kobe changes his pivot foot before putting the ball down on the floor. I also think there's no way a ref catches that in real time, and even if they do, they can't be sure enough to call it then, either.
