Your All-Purpose Trade Deadline Thread (Please Read)
Thursday's going to be a crazy day on the trade front (if we're lucky), so to consolidate all the chatter in one place, I'm setting this up as your catchall trade thread. Whatever you got - rumors, commentary, actual news - put it down below in the comments. Do that instead of putting up a bunch of separate FanPosts, and I'll be your friend forever. More important, your fellow SS&Rians will appreciate not having to click around to seven different threads. I'm sure you understand.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
The Houston Rockets have reached an agreement in principle to acquire Kevin Martin from the Sacramento Kings, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The proposed deal has the Rockets sending Tracy McGrady, Carl Landry and Joey Dorsey to the Kings for Martin, Sergio Rodriguez, Hilton Armstrong and Kenny Thomas.
The Kings probably are going to waive T-Mac, and he ultimately wants to be with the lakers or cavs, so there is a possibility that he Lakes can reach an agreement for tmac!!!
according to ESPN
Utah and Miami have open discussions about sending Boozer to MIA
from Marc Stein Twitter (http://twitter.com/STEIN_LINE_HQ) :
Just filed to ESPN.com with @chadfordinsider: Utah and Miami have opened discussions on a possible Carlos Boozer deal before 3 PM deadline

Do you think this was done to relieve cap space
which means the will also waive him or buy him out or are they keeping him so he could actually play?

Can't say
No one seems to know whether T-Mac can still play

I would rather see a gimpy tmac over Sasha coming off the bench
but that’s from a fan’s point of view. I know the business side is more important to the organization.

Onto waiver wire watch time!
To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.
There will probably be a number of names on the waiver wire.
Keyon Dooling, Jarvis Hayes, Tony Battie, Bobby Simmons, Kenny Thomas, Big Z, Mike Miller, Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, Mike James, maybe Chris Duhon and Joe Alexander are possible names that might be bought out of their contracts.
Mike Miller is an interesting name
the wizards might give him away too to try and increase their salary cap. but we would have to shell out a lot for him i think. other than that no other names really jump out from that list.
"Just by the aura of D.J. Mbenga being there, the shot missed."
The only things to look at in the waiver wire is the best talent available
and a player who is hungry for a ring and won’t be demanding a high salary. who fits that bill? Big Z, Tony Battie, Mike Miller…

Dooling is the one I'd definitely take from that group
His opposing PER numbers are terrific.

The Kings have waived Kenny Thomas, a league source tells Y! Sports.

Heh.
PJ liked POR (Camby) & DAL (CButler) but said Jamison at 4 makes CLE “rather small” and preferred House to Nate Rob for BOS.

Agree with Phil on the Cavs
Though if they get Z back, I’m somewhat horrified.

Suns had offered Amare to Houston for Battier and Scola.
On the eve of the trade deadline, the Phoenix Suns told Amar’e Stoudemire(notes) they would likely keep him. They also still tried to trade him.
An NBA source said the Suns made an 11th-hour effort to send the All-Star to the Houston Rockets for forwards Shane Battier(notes) and Luis Scola(notes) and a draft pick. The offer surprised the Rockets, who passed because they were worried about Stoudemire leaving as a free agent this summer.
