The best 6 man team?
Which NBA team this year will field the best 6 man unit (starting unit plus 6th man)? The Spurs fans, Celtics fans, Blazers fans, and Laker fans all seem to think they have the top 6 in the NBA. I suppose the Cavs and Magic fans do as well, but I haven't heard them say it yet. So who do you really think it is? I noticed this came up on the Celtics blog and (not surprisingly) they think the answer is the Celtics. Of course their reasoning is something along the lines of "because we say so" or "because everyone just knows it", or something in between.
So what do you think. If you think it is the Lakers (or any other team) explain why using logic, evidence, and some form of rational reasoning. I know we can do better than the Celtics blog. For the record I don't know for sure what each teams starting lineup or 6th man will be so I apologize in advance for my ignorance. If you know more about a particular teams lineup (which is pretty likely), correct me at will. No offense meant by any ommissions.
Hey, how about a poll?

The surprising thing about this breakdown is Drew...
He stands out like a sore thumb. Mainly because we all know that if he puts together a 15 and 10 season we are going to win the title. We all know what everyone else on the Lakers can but we have yet to see Bynum at a full season. The scary part for other teams is that we all know what he is capable of. 1 to 1 1/2 months before each of his injuries we have seen his potential. We just want to see him at 100% if not in the regular season defenitely in the playoffs.

More like a sore knee, lol...
If Bynums healthy then we have:
The best player in the game
1.5 of the the 5 best centers in the league (cause Gasol’s really a power forward)
Arguably the best sixth man in the league
two of the top 5 perimeter defenders in the league
the best frontline in the league
the best team offense in the league
and fisher
But if Bynum’s injured who’s our 6th man? Walton? Sasha? Brown? If someone read the future and said Bynum would get injured this year I would not even think about voting for the Lakers.

Yes
All these are fact, and not opinion!

LOL.. Where have you been.
I have had to resort to bashing Celtics fans for the last week…..yawn. Don’t stay away so long.
BTW, they are not fact (as you know you little sarcasm monkey), but they are pretty decent opinions. I would agree with 5 of the 7 for sure and the other 2 are certainly debatable. I will let you guess which ones are which. (and you won’t be able to)

Believe it or not, I voted for the Spurs.
And this was my Fanpost. After writing it I did a little research and they seem to have the best 6 on paper. However some of their new additions will take away from some of their veterans so who knows. I also think we matchup well against them and are younger, etc. I still think we will beat them handily.

what kind of laker fan are you. I do agree they have a great lineup, but i would bet $1K that they arent going to be healthy for even 50 games
In Kobe we trust!

My post had nothing to do with "health".
I simply think on paper they have the best 6 players of the bunch. I still think we have the better team, and will beat them. Health in basketball is like a gust of wind in golf. You have no idea when it’s going to be an issue or even if it will be an issue so why waste time thinking about it?

im going with the lakers
kobeisgod put up all the points so i dont have to repeat them.
But i have the celtics and spurs tied for a very close second. I feel that everyone made moves to get better than us and we made one move that pretty much cancels out what the other teams did (artest). He can guard carter, jefferson, and (punch) pierce. We already have guys that can guard sheed and shaq.
We won last year and still managed to get better.
GO LAKERS
