yea, jordan really has no class. Why didnt he just say he is the greatest player ever, and could probably mop the floor with anyone else in the hall.
Funny how he is first on the list of all time greats, but is last on the modesty list. Last nights speech actually made me pull for lebron that much more, cuz at least lebron feigns modesty
In Kobe we trust!
I don't critique one's Hall of Fame speech. I didn't think it was that serious.
I enjoyed every minute of it, and Jordan was true to himself. At least he didn’t fake anything. I guess it was worth the space Adrian wasted. I mean, its a speech.
“There is no ‘I’ in team, but there is an ‘I’ in win.” I love that quote. That might be my signature.
yeah
i think u got a valid point
although he was a little bit too in your face at doubters and critics….
he shoulda been more grateful and stuff…
well
the guy worked his ass off his entire career and competed every game
so i’ll give him props for that,…
I give him props for his work ethic
At least he set a good example in that.
But there is much more to life than winning a ball game. I just don’t get the “I can’t lose at anything, even ping pong” mentality, soon that just gets tired and it starts to destroy you.

Competitiveness is a gift on the court but a flaw off it
Before Kobe scored 61 points in NY he said that some Knick players came up to him and said hello and he just ignored them. It was just his approach to the game nothing personal. MJ’s speech was nothing surprising for those who played with him daily and those same people say they never met anyone so competitive and during his HOF speech we all got to see what those people meant. I appreciated that personally. In a day when everything is so commercialized we got to see the real Jordan, not an act. I was surprised to hear him speak and I can see how some people could have been offended. But he cannot shut down that competitiveness that is who he is. Whether we like it or not, it is that personality that got him his accomplishments. I for one appreciated the brutal honesty. That is what made him who is, good or bad.

Disagree
Inviting his high school coach and the player that coach (sorry, forgot his name and the player) chose over MJ just to humilitate them in that occasion is not being “brutally honest”, that’s being bitter and mean spirited. I mean, yes he could have said the same thing without planing these two in, them thinking they would get to enjoy the induction of the so-called GOAT, only to find out they were there so that MJ could tell them personally, “you made a mistake!” If you were in their shoes, how you feel then? How could the coach have known MJ’s future? MJ had no class that time.
