Trevor Ariza Interview on KLAC
You know, it is sad to see him now as an ex-Laker - I'm pretty sure he's feeling the same way.
Seems to me we were right all along...his agent failed to inform Ariza what's up and played too much hardball to recover from it.

I don't blame the agent.
When we go to buy a new house, or sell the old one––do you completely trust your agent?
No. You give him a strict criteria regarding what you want and need and––most importantly–––contol in the final decision. What happened to Ariza is he gave up too much authority to his agent and trusted him too much; now, Ariza, is going to languish on a losing team and trying to do too much will end up injured…
Ariza’s ego (and or agent’s) got in the way of the right decision. If Ariza could of for a moment thought of himself more as a “Coop”, or a "Worhy"––the Robin to Kobe’s Batman––he would still be a Laker; more appreciated, and more stardom than he would ever find as a Rocket. And more importantly more “Rings”. Not to mention the Lakers always find a way to reward loyalty.
