That’s great. I’d love to see the old Forum again. Lot’s of good memories. Do you think they could get Magic, Worthy & Kareem to suit up one more time?

lol

At this point I would be happy to see LO suit up again.

Ha! Good point. And I bet the Forum isn’t as grand as I remember it. Things definitely changed for the better with the Staples Center.

Went to a Laker pre-season game at the San Diego Sports Arena where the Clips used to play and while it was fun to sit so close it was definitely not luxury accommodations.

ya ive seen them play at the sd sports arena. It’s definately more inimate setting, but it definately isnt in the league of the staples center.

i heard it on kcal...

i love that idea
if they get the old court back onto the floor it would be perfect
ive only watched em play on tv at the forum 1 or 2 times…

Not 100%

but didn’t the old court get broken up and sold in pieces as memorabilia? I think that is a common trend when the older arena’s are broken down. I think the same thing was done with the bastard-garden.

Maybe it did but I’m sure they can get a floor back in there. They put the Staples floor down on the turf of the Coliseum for the parade / celebration so the forum shouldn’t be a problem.

I wonder if they pulled out all the Ice making stuff the Kings used to play on.

you are 100% correct

I am defenitely going to show up to that game though.

not sure about the Ice though.

If Kobe can chill in China with the Lamar uncertainty looming everyday then we should chill in the USA

Link of Kobe given back to those in China……..

There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be commited against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the LimeLight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position. Find a game plan and execute it. REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET OUT OF THE GAME WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT.

That is really cool.

If the Great Western Forum is still there, then what is it used for?

It is still there. I read a church bought it and was holding services there. Not sure if that’s still the case.

Cool. It would be fun to see it again.

I can close my eyes and envision walking up to it – with the columns all lit up at night getting excited to see the game. I think the best seats I ever had were for a Boston-Lakers playoff game in the 1980s. Unfortunately, I think it was the one that was an epic loss – like by 30+ points. But at least we went on to win the title that year.
