PrintGoodness gracious sakes alive Kobe Bryant. 36 points through three quarters? And a 24 point lead? If you are going to continue to one up yourself, the league is going to change its rules to make your shot count for 1/2 point. I don't want to say this game is over becuase the Magic's threes could start falling at any moment. However, with Kobe on the floor let;s face it...it's over. Somewhere LeBron is saying "pshhhhh, I could do that." Sure you could Bron-Bron, just turn the volume up and watch Kobe doin' work, the live edition.

not trying to be a troll, but there are legitimate arguments for LeBron as MVP and best player. He had one of the greatest series of all time in the last round.

LeBron averaged a near triple-double with almost 40 points. He couldn’t account for Zydrunas guarding Dwight, Delonte West guarding Hedo, and the complete lack of shooting from the Cavalier perimeter players.

Of course there’s going to be an argument. Before Lebron there was Kobe vs Tmac. Kobe vs Vince, and yet Kobe’s still in the conversation. That says something
I know but TMac and Vince looked very good when they were on top of their games. The conversation was Kobe vs this guy Kobe vs that guy, his ability to stay in the conversation of best player in the league through 13 seasons says something about his game

Regarding the MVP award, It’s “MVP of the regular season”, not “MVP of the playoffs”. So it’s not “all that matters”. In fact, it’s the opposite.

i can tell you one thing, another blowout game like this in gm2 and magic and co. will have seriously deflated morale. plus being the best road team in the league gives the edge to the lakers as well.
