More on Busting FG% Myths about Kobe and Rockets
I also took a look at teams that have played the Lakers 4 times this season, and compared Kobe's FG% against those teams, as well as average number of FT attempts, to see which team is best at guarding Kobe.
To my eye, it looks like Portland and Golden State had the most success against Kobe, holding him to 44-45% shooting and only 6 freebies attempted per game.
Portland probably does get some press for their defense against Kobe, but why doesn't Golden State get the reputation for shutting Kobe down more than Houston?
