PrintWhen was the last time we saw a typical dominant 3rd quarter from these Lakers? Some bullet points:
- Kobe cares. Gasol cares. Does anyone else?
- These refs suck. Horrible, horrible officiating. Don't want to hear it, timbo...
- I'm less and less interested in keeping Lamar Odom. If he's going to disappear every time the competition gets tough in the playoffs, we don't need him.
- If we're going to come back, it's going to have to be Kobe. If he sits to start the quarter, I'm going to pitch a fit.
That is all. We're going to need a really great 4th quarter to win this.

No way the Lakers lose the next game. And then, in a Game 7 elimination do-or-die game? Again, I’d take the Lakers.

Besides, it only proves my point. Since we've started this blog, not ONCE has Kobe started "chucking" UNTIL the Lakers were already down.
Just goes to show, that’s NOT how you beat the Lakers. It’s what happens when you already are beating the Lakers.

He’s going to bounce back? Really? Pau Gasol, yeah. Lamar Odom, that’s not his track record.
He’s really only stepped up when Bynum has been hurt. And he’s consistently disappeared in the playoffs. This is nothing new. I’m really not expecting him to show up anymore. He’ll rebound consistently, and that’s about it.

But I’m not gonna paint a rosy picture of them either. Maybe we all need to realize that this team isn’t as good as everybody thinks they are. I can deal with that. I can’t deal with calling a player a stud when he disappears in the playoffs. That’s not Championship material, and if you’re a Laker fan, that’s what you expect.

Bynum was okay but Phil pulled him out quickly for Lamar. It wasn’t a good decision because Lamar was a no show tonight :/

The Lakers also have
Trevor Ariza, Shannon Brown, and Andrew Bynum. Those three are also very likely to be consistent.
Even if you disregard whether or not that question comes up in your favor
It’s still a pointless question. Take Lebron and any teams best player away and who wins? Who the hell cares, because he’s playing.

Take away each teams’ best two players, and then decide? Because the two best players aren’t part of the team?
