LIVE GameThread - Lakers/Nuggets: Game 4 - Q4

When was the last time we saw a typical dominant 3rd quarter from these Lakers? Some bullet points:

  • Kobe cares. Gasol cares. Does anyone else?
  • These refs suck. Horrible, horrible officiating. Don't want to hear it, timbo...
  • I'm less and less interested in keeping Lamar Odom. If he's going to disappear every time the competition gets tough in the playoffs, we don't need him.
  • If we're going to come back, it's going to have to be Kobe. If he sits to start the quarter, I'm going to pitch a fit.

That is all. We're going to need a really great 4th quarter to win this.

I know a dive when I see one. Kobe took a dive when Dahntay tripped him. It was a trip for sure, but Kobe could’ve stayed on his feet.

LOL what? It was OBVIOUS the trip was intentional.

OUCH!!!!

Seriously though, he has a lot of nerve to call the Nuggets the better team all they did tonight was avoid a 3-1 deficit with the series headed back to LA.

by WaveOcean on May 25, 2009 9:30 PM PDT up reply actions

They will do their best to win

But you can’t expect them to blow out the Nuggets. That’s too much to ask.

Let them believe whatever they want.

Mr. Jackson

I would love for you to call out the refs. please

by Mrs SSandR on May 25, 2009 9:25 PM PDT reply actions

Rather call out the bench.

What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.

bizarro Phil. He seemed almost… friendly.

Fearthesword.com: "There is no doubt that the long layoff, combined with the ease of the first two rounds had the Cavaliers a bit tired in the 4th quarter."

Seems much more reserved

Nevermind my friend just texted me and said Phil probably has a 25,000 fine coming his way. I’m assuming he did call out the referees

by intuitive on May 25, 2009 9:28 PM PDT up reply actions

Not directly

but yeah, he might be fined. Something needed to be said thought

When the journalist asked him was Jones dirty

Kobe said “I tripped (smirk) and said it was good defense”

by intuitive on May 25, 2009 9:30 PM PDT reply actions

I think I heard him say "I'm a klutz" that's why he tripped

Yeap.. Except he knows that Jones tripped him on purpose, his facial expression said it all.

Oh yeah, pure sarcasm

I hope he gets suspended because that was a dangerous play not to mention a dirty play.

I was one of the lucky few to be invited to watch Game 5 vs. Denver at Metta World Peace's Private Party. He was very intense watching the game, and it was obvious that it bothered him a lot that he couldn't be there helping his teammates.

This is a video I took of Ron's reaction to Kobe's last shot at the buzzer to tie. Him raising his hands was the happiest I saw him during the whole game. I was hoping to record a great celebration.
