"Chris Mannix: I'm going to declare co-winners in the "best" category: Artest and Trevor Ariza (Rockets). We have all dissected the Artest acquisition from every angle, but with the calendar about to turn to 2010, the Lakers have a solid offense, the top-ranked defense and, oh yeah, the best record in basketball. You can't argue with that." - Remember him saying this? Hilarious. Guess Ron made him come around. How are those Spurs looking?

Good Win
Closer that I would have liked but good win.
I’m a huge Bynum fan but I didn’t like his post game interview on FSN West. He was asked what his response was to people that say he needs more energy and to go after the rebounds more. His response was that his shots just weren’t falling and he missed a bunch of bunnies.
Either he wasn’t really paying attention to the question or he has no idea what is going on. Does Bynum not get that we don’t only care about offense? We want 10+ rebounds every night with a couple of blocks. We want him to go after the rebounds like Artest and Rodman. I was specifically watching Bynums rebounding last night and I’ve come to the conclusion that he doesn’t go after rebounds unless they fall into his hands.
Anyways, can’t wait for Friday’s game. I think its way over hyped and the Lakers smoke em but that’s just my opinion. It’ll be fun to watch Bynum and Shaq. Remember Bynums rookie year against Shaq? Still one of Bynums best plays ever.

More and more Laker fans are seeing this..
Does Bynum not get that we don’t only care about offense?
The number of fans speaking of this is growing. I feel exactly the same way. I have to say that feeling that way about Bynum’s game and his lack of passion on rebounding or defense in no way does it mean he shoulld be traded.

Thankfully, Kupchak doesn't listen to the fans
And doesn’t habitually do stupid things like trading Bynum.
To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.
Well
He has had some pretty awfull trades and signed some really bad contracts. All without the help of the fans. But I don’t think trading Bynum is the answer. Of course in my dreams there other players I prefer but the main reason as to why I wouldn’t trade Bynum is because of the rarity there is in finding a big man like him and with Centers falling like flies he hasn’t done bad considering he was a huge part of the Lakers winning a title.

yea, i'm more interested to see the shap/bynum-gasol matchup
than i am about the kobe-lebron matchup, esp. considering artest will be the one guarding lebron instead of kobe. not sure if lebron or parker will guard kobe though
An excellent article: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/311555-why-kobejordan-debate-is-closer-than-it-seems
