- Very impressed with the way the Lakers pulled this win out, because these are the sorts of games you tend to lose. Second-best player, out. Superstar? Sick, and pretty pissed off. Bench? Nonexistent. And this was the hottest ticket the Ford Center will see, all year. This date was circled on the calendar. As always, thanks for the links.
From the article titled: Lakers’ Bench Mob stays on the bench
Jackson said. "Nothing was happening good when (Jordan Farmar) was out there. Things went OK (with Brown).
Brutal for Jordan. With Jordan asking Phil to tighten up the guard rotation almost wonder if he is trying to work his way out of town.
Then there is:
Lamar Odom has replaced Gasol as the Lakers’ starting power forward, but no one has replaced Odom effectively as their sixth man.So really the bench is missing Lamar plus either Pau or Drew. But hey, at least the bench mob won’t be tired for tonight’s game. :)
What’s more, Jackson often plays Gasol or Andrew Bynum with the Lakers’ second unit, giving the backups a far different look than they have now.

Wow, Mitch won’t get too much for him if he can’t even get off the bench. Maybe he bundles Ammo’s contract or something but still.
Plus he’s going to have a hard time finding someone who can contribute since it takes so long to learn the triangle. Time for Mitch to earn his $.

Ammo is as good as gone too if a trade happens.
Farmar will still look good to others because I think it’s obvious he’s not a Triangle player. So, his stock isn;t diminished to the point where it looks like he’s struggling. Another team will always see him as a bad fit for the Lakers, but potentially very good for them.
Ammo’s contract give the Lakers flexibility should they decide to take more in contract back.
That sounds pretty nice.
Numbers work and Duhon only has this year left on his contract, in case they decide to go another route.
Not bad.
Maybe we can pull back a NYK draft pick too. I missed not having a 1st rounder last year.

having a 1st Rounder is just guarnateed money that would have been wasted.
Team aren’t allowed to not have 1st Round picks in consecutive years, so we have to keep it this year.
Good points. I am glad we’re using the money on Shannon instead. Thanks for reminding me.
