Lakers-Nuggets Game Thread

Los Angeles Lakers at Denver Nuggets, Nov 13, 2009 7:30 PM PST

The following ingredients are included in Chicken McNuggets: autolyzed yeast extract, sodium phosphates, sodium acid pyrophosphate, dimethylpolysiloxane, self-loathing.

The following ingredients are included in the Denver Nuggets: Anthony Carter, many irritating power forwards.

Here's your open thread, kiddies. I hope you brought plenty of dipping sauce.

There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be commited against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the LimeLight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position. Find a game plan and execute it. REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET OUT OF THE GAME WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT.

What about Chauncey?

he’s one of my favorite players in the league, and the only guy on the nuggets with any blank skin left. plus i went to the same college as him.

anyways. this is going to be a big test for Artest – I want to see him be tough without being an idiot. we’ll see what happens.

Here's a question I've been wondering:

If Gasol wins>= 3 championships could he be considered a top 50 (or better) player all time

Probably not

He may very well be the most talented center in the league, but unfortunately he lives under Kobe’s shadow and is not a statistical monster. Without another championship or three (I hate the use of championships as a caliber of a players greatness), writers etc. probably will not give him enough credit. They may not even let him in the Hall of Fame.

What do you mean they should be down by more? Lakers have made their fair share of shots and the free throws are basically the difference in the score. I dont know what you’re talking about

Yes. So what makes you believe they should be down by more?

The Lakers have made their fair share of shots, the free throw disparity is why Denver has the lead. I don’t see why Denver should be up by even more, what makes you think they should be up by more?

Damn bad airball Ammo, bad shot Sasha

Our bench sucks

There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be commited against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the LimeLight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position. Find a game plan and execute it. REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET OUT OF THE GAME WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT.

Is the new talk going to be about the defense Afflalo played?

Yeah, because he’s played such good defense on Kobe in the past. That’s sarcasm, in case you didn’t catch it the first time.

The Lakers got their butts kicked but good. On the road, missing Pau, against last year’s opponent in a hard fought conference Finals. Brush it off.

bad game for us as it was

somehow, it doesn’t seem as if we’re too worried (sure, denver would boast it’s head off, but who cares about them)

which makes you wonder, if the fan’s arn’t too worried, did the team even feel a sense of urgency?

don’t get me wrong. i think it’s still too early in the season to get emotional. Plus, it’s not like we’re been doing poorly or anything.

Well, I'd be more worried if the Lakers lost at home

Like Boston did to Atlanta.

Denver is a team to be reckoned with.

I think they played like it was a WCF rematch

and we just sort of shrugged it off. Not that we felt entittled to a win or anything, but it didn’t seem like they felt the NEED to beat Denver, while Denver probably had this date circled 15 times.

What I saw a lot in the second half is Denver getting agressive on double teaming Kobe

So he would move the ball once doubled and the rest of the team could not hit an outside shot

So Kudos to Denver on executing their defensive strategy
