You'll probably miss the first 5-10 min if you're not a local

Otherwise you can catch the start of the game on KCAL9

Oops

I stand corrected. Fox Sports West, it is a home game.

Just read on Forum Blue and Gold, they will delay the game only up to around 7:50, and it will start whether or not the Cavs-Heat game has ended (they will continue to show Cavs-Heat on TNT)

So glad I stopped by...

Would’ve been tearing my hair out without the FSW heads up. Thought they got blacked out for TNT games.

Good luck tonight, except for the part where the Lakers win. Feel free to swing by BSOTS for a peek at the other side.

Kobe on Shaq (2003) - "But this is his team, so it's time for him to act like it. That means no more coming into camp fat and out of shape, when your team is relying on your leadership on and off the court.....no more blaming others for our team's failure, or blaming staff members for not overdramatizing your injuries so that you avoid blame for your lack of conditioning. Also, "my team" doesn't mean only when we win; it means carrying the burden of defeat just as gracefully as you carry a championship trophy."

they need to bring it. I am curious if Phill will put Brown on Nash.

bynum has owned stoudamire recently

and i expect that tonight too…

artest will dominate richardson

lamar will gaurd Frye who only can shoot and lamar will not allow him to..

and the lakers defense as a whle will contain nash…

this game is gonna be nice and easy and a big time Blow out

by matthewmafa on Nov 12, 2009 7:17 PM PST reply actions

I agree but there will always be that pesky fact..

the Lakers team as a whole always has problems with players like Nash. Once he breaks down the defense and gets past Fish all he has to do is find the open man when the defense collapses. ugh! i’m going to need a drink tonite. I was already over at the Suns blog and almost got booted out. Still a good conversation though.

Does anyone know why this Cavs-Heat game is going so long?

Did they schedule them closer together than usual? Was there a delay? Have there been an absurd number of fouls?

You should have seen him in the 1 point loss to the Bulls. There was around 3 seconds left on the clock he drives and Noah goes up cleanly hands straight up in the air, Lebron misses, time expires, Bulls win. Afterwards, Lebron has the audacity to step in front of the ref that didn’t make the call and just stare at him not allowing him to walk away for a good 20 seconds

No offense to the guy who wrote this on Bright Side of the Sun

But I’m still defensive about guys who don’t bow at the throne of Kobe

I haven’t watched very many Lakers games this season – but I know Kobe’s tendency in the past has been to lay back and conserve his energy in the first half and get his other guys involved, so that he can come on strong and close out the game in the 2nd half.

- One thing that has worked for Phoenix in the past against Kobe is to tire him out til he runs out of gas in the 4th – In recent history and as Raja Bell declined in offensive threat level and as our team identity slowed to a snail’s pace, Kobe never got tired in games against us and we haven’t been very much competition for the Lakers.

Er, maybe the fact that Kobe got some help on his team was the difference?

That means no more coming into camp fat and out of shape, when your team is relying on your leadership on and off the court.....no more blaming others for our team's failure, or blaming staff members for not overdramatizing your injuries so that you avoid blame for your lack of conditioning. Is there any way to get Shannon in the dunk contest this year?

How is the dunk contest going to be this year?

Didn’t LeBron say he’ll personally recruit big name players? I’d much rather see Shannon have a rematch with LeBron.

Way not to box out, guys.

I pretty much have a policy not to care any more once PJ doesn't care enough to iinsert Ammo.

So it’s time to eat.

Good night!

There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be commited against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the LimeLight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position.

I hold grudges

Explain to me again how Steve Nash got two MVP awards?

Okay, okay so maybe he was most valuable to his team, but there is no way he was ever better than Kobe.

I can’t help taking the low road, I can’t just be happy the Lakers are winning.

and the lakers were getting only 7th seed in da west…
not good enough for MVP consideration….according to the NBA

The best part is trying to listen to Barkley explain what the criteria are for MVP

He just goes on and it makes no sense at all but he is straight out trying to explain what people think it means. Nobody knows what the hell it means anymore.

The best part was during the 1st game of the series the announcer couldn’t figure out why the LA fans were chanting “MVP”. He was wondering if they were talking about the NBA finals MVP.

It is because unlike the rest of the NBA, we KNOW what the Hell an MVP is and know Kobe’s been it for some time now!

by Cool Dudes on Nov 12, 2009 10:37 PM PST up reply actions

Gils I know you read this if not here is the link
Truth is Kobe Bryant will never win the MVP of the league. He is hated too much. Hated by those who cast votes. Hated too much by those he plays against. And the two All-Star Game MVPs he’s won, well, they don’t count in this scenario. Voting Kobe as the best basketball player in the world for a day is one thing, honoring him with that same title for an entire season … in the infamous words of Bobby Brown’s ex-wife: “Oh, hell to the No!”

You may be part of my special club

If people don’t understand why you can’t let it go now that Kobe is on top of they world. They don’t understand how much shit you took for standing by Kobe (as the best player) when his team sucked balls. They don’t understand how morons could get away with saying things like “the Lakers are better when Kobe doesn’t shoot so much” and “Kobe isn’t even the best player on his team” and “Kobe doesn’t play team ball” and “Just let Kobe shoot himself out of the game” and “It takes his teammates out of rhythm when he shoots so much” and “You can beat the Lakers if you get Kobe to start gunning” and “Kobe is not a good passer” and on and on an on, so please excuse me if every once in a while, like once or twice a day, I feel the urge to say I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU KOBE COULD LEAD A TEAM TO A CHAMPIONSHIP, I TOLD YOU KOBE WAS NOT “JUST” A GREAT SCORER, I TOLD YOU KOBE COULD BE A GOOD LEADER, I TOLD YOU FREE AGENTS WOULD PLAY FOR THE LAKERS AS SOON AS THEY STARTED WINNING, I TOLD YOU AS SOON AS KOBE GOT DECENT TEAMMATES THE LAKERS WOULD BE ON TOP, I TOLD YOU RAJA BELL AND BRUCE BOWEN WERE NOT KOBE STOPPERS, SO SHUT UP AND TAKE IT. I TOLD YOU.

Whew. Not sure where that came from, but I think smashing the Suns made me realize how far Kobe and the Lakers have come from five years ago, when the Suns had the world at their feet.

I'm with you

but no one that ever voted against him will never stand up and say it. Well, anyone not named Bill Simmons at least. Honestly that piece by Scoop summed it up better than anyone ever could. But believe me I know how you feel. seeing Kobe win that ring meant more because of the naysayers.

Er, but Scoop Jackson was wrong

He did win the MVP vote. But he only won because his team started winning. Can you imagine if Kobe had a decent team back then? He could have more rings by now.

But I think I get your point. Haters gonna hate. But here on out, it’s payback time.
