SB Nation Power Rankings: Week 2
That's right, folks, SB Nation's NBA blogs are combining efforts to do our own NBA power rankings. We were a little slow getting started, so round one is actually Week 2, but we should be pretty regular from here on out.
Check it out — in addition to the rankings, you'll also find a number of comments from Yours Truly.

Well, the list has issues.
No way in hell that Memphis is #30 (Nets, Timberwolves).
Blazers have already convincingly handled San Antonio, so those need to be flipped…

Two things
- In this first run, the request to submit rankings was sent out Friday, but it didn’t run until Monday. Some of us didn’t realize that, so various people responded at various times (some right away, others waiting until Sunday night). I expect people will plan to be more last minute, going forward, so that will be less of an issue.
- Head-to-head matchups don’t necessarily mean much in power rankings. If the two are close, maybe. But just because the Blazers beat the Spurs doesn’t mean they’re a stronger team right now.

Interesting take by The Dream Shake.
I guess has to win a title first before he loses that image of locker room distraction guy. It will be nice when everyone is proved wrong.
