Kareem Diagnosed With Leukemia
I'm afraid some upsetting news has just hit the wire. In an article just posted on the LA Times website, Laker icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar discloses that he is suffering from a rare form of leukemia. Kareem states that the diagnosis was made this past December and that he is treating the disease, which is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, with oral medication. He tells Broderick Turner of the Times that he is responding well to the treatment.
The full article can be found here. I encourage everyone to read it.

Kareem is 62?
wow….he looks great for his age. Either way, thank you for posting this and I was happy to read the following:
He said he expects to lead a healthy life.
May I grow up to be 62 and look like that.
