Odom's "white cigar"
is hilarious. Odom is long known for smoking weed, he’s not fooling anyone haha.
Too bad about Luke. I really like Luke and I hope he gets a lot of PT this season. He really helps ball movement with the second team. He balances out the trigger happy approach of Sasha and Farmar.
John-
Did you get a chance to go to the practice today? I know its far but it’s a pretty cool opportunity.
Two weeks…

No. I have gone the last two years, it's really cool.
I am stuck on a Jury all week. Yeah, fun.

Tell that judge you have commenting obligations.
Tell him you use your phone to take notes, and go SS & R mobile.
Civic duty, schmivic duty.
Thanks for the advice.
I told the judge to kiss my ass, I have important business to attend to with Silver Screen and Roll. I think he took it well.
On an unrelated note, does anyone here know a good attorney…………and maybe a bail bondsman. Thanks.

Has anyone noticed the ridicule
that the Lakers organization is taking for the game at the Great Western Forum. I have to admit the link above from The Association makes very valid points. Even if it only was a pre season game I would liked to of seen a bigger deal being made out of the whole event.

I went to the game and the Lakers didn’t go out of their way one bit to make it special. I was expecting a shirt or something. Traffic got me there late so I would have missed any pre-game celebration that would have taken place though.
The guy is way off on the ticket prices though. I sat in the same seats he did (about 10 rows up behind the basket) and they were $40 compared to the usually $150 (or somewhere close). It’s always cool to watch basketball up close, its a different game.
Kareem was there but where was Magic? You think he would have been the first to show up. He is an owner after all.
In the end, it was cool for a young guy to make his first and last visit to Forum.

I am sure that many Laker fans that attended the game felt the same way. But, as you said watching the game that close must have been great. At least you got to see Kobe really close which was great. But it seems that a lot of people are saying the same thing about the whole even and the organization’s lack of enthusiasm. Not even a half time show or anything. That sucks!

They SHOULD have worn the throwbacks.
It was so obvious.
I’m obviously not i the know as far as scheduling, but it would have been nice if it was the last preseason game. To give it more of a feeling of a game that mattered. Both teams would have given a little more effort as they are heading into the real games.
Then again. Who knows? Maybe the Lakers plan on doing this every pre-season and don’t see the the need to make a big deal out of it. After all it is pre-season, and more promotions cost money.
I'm looking forward to more of these reactions this season

Can't remember, was that Sasha's dunk???

Nope
It was S. Brown’s block in a blow out and I am almost 100% that it is against the Hawks. The crazy part is that he had JUST been traded to the Lakers.

Yes they did call that a foul.
But it is funny how the video clip I posted above of the Lakers reacting got just as much exposure as the play itself.

pretty sure it's David West
Watch the Atlanta bench as the block happens and you see one of the Hawks put his hand to his mouth like, “Oh my goodness.” But yeah, ShanWOW/UPS did get him in the body (and the ego).
On the topic of Stephen Jackson, though, he is as good as Kobe Bryant.
